Our charities

We support a number of other local, national and international causes, often in conjunction with Rotary International.

This year, President David’s chosen charity is:

Cherry Trees - respite care for children and young people in Surrey

Cherry Trees provides home from home respite care for children and young people with severe learning and physical disabilities.

Set in the peaceful village of East Clandon, near Guildford, Cherry Trees provides a high quality service within a relaxed and caring setting.

Chantries will also continue to support:

Beacon Centre at the Royal Surrey Count Hospital – helping yound people with Cancer

Guildford Action for the Homeless and those in need in Guildford.

The Beacon Centre

The Beacon Centre has been developed as a joint venture between the local community, Surrey Hampshire Borders NHS Trust and Macmillan Cancer Relief.

The Centre is the base of the Beacon Community Cancer and Palliative Care Service. The Beacon Service helps local people at home cope with the effects of cancer or a life-changing progressive illness.

Each Spring and Autumn, members of the Guildford Chantries Rotary Club help look after the garden, by tidying up the bushes and pathways, planting new flowers and maintaining the garden furniture so those using the Centre can enjoy the garden at its best.

Guildford Action

Guildford Action logo

Guildford Action has been working within the communities of   Guildford and Waverley for 30 years.

It was originally set up to support those who were unemployed in Guildford but over time has evolved its services to include support for all those who are disadvantaged and in need within areas of Guildford and Waverley.
